RIO Tinto has said it could take up to three weeks to restore operations to normal levels at its Cape Lambert port in the Pilbara after this week declaring force majeure on iron ore shipments following an accident with a rail car which damaged the company’s dumper facilities.

A SPECIAL review carried out by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority has found there were no “direct links between recent safety incidents” at Qantas, despite the recent turmoil surrounding the airline that was spectacularly kicked off by a mid-air explosion on a Qantas 747 jet in July.
